As director of 4thDiscipline I have always had a passion for food and sport.
My path naturally led me to a career as a clinical dietitian and into my passion – SPORT. This became the ethos behind 4thDiscipline; a 4 dimensional approach to nutrition with education and enabling at the heart of what we do.
As an age group endurance triathlete and cyclist; I lead consultations with professional athletes, clinical patients and sporty professionals to leverage knowledge and motivate behaviours to transform personal and athlete development with appropriate goal setting, personal plans and accountability.
I have had a wealth of experience with nutritional support across a wide range of clinical and medical conditions and preparing professional and elite athletes for Tokyo 2021 Olympics and Beijing 2022; and those on the elite triathlon circuit most recently. My clinical work has spanned from Clinical ITUs to working within sports medical teams, medical teams and mental health teams.

My Guiding Principles
Knowledge and Enabling
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” (Chinese Proverb).
I am passionate about athletes and clients understanding why we do what we do, recognising where, and how changes can be made.
We Are All Human; We Are Individuals
We are guided with equations, metrics, guidelines and protocols backed by the latest science and research. However, nutrition, weight and how our bodies and minds respond are all individual.
I value the time spent getting to really know athletes and clients; their training, symptoms and life pulls. I use my knowledge and experience over the last 17 years as a clinical dietitian, working in sport and as an athlete.
Evidence-Based Science
There are so many mixed messages out there, it can be difficult for athletes and clients to differentiate the fact from the fiction; and how that applies to them. As a clinical dietitian and high-performance nutritionist.
I use the most up to date research and science and apply this knowledge in easy to digest advice to an induvial. Science is there to guide but the practical application is where we use our experience; it is “THEORY VS PRACTICE”.
There Is No Good or Bad
Everybody deserves to enjoy, engage and own their nutrition! Food is not an enemy; it is there to enjoy, to fuel our bodies and ultimately is an untapped resource to accelerate performance in sport and in life.
Medical conditions, restrictive intake or gastrointestinal distress; with careful analysis, knowledge and guidance we establish foods to nourish and fuel.
